Paul Marshall is Wilson Distinguished Professor of Religious Freedom at Baylor University and a research professor in political science. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute and the Religious Freedom Institute. He is the author and editor of more than twenty books on religion and politics, including Persecuted: The Global Assault on Christians (2013), Silenced: How Apostasy and Blasphemy Codes Are Choking Freedom Worldwide (2011), Blind Spot: When Journalists Don’t Get Religion (2009), Religious Freedom in the World (2007), Radical Islam’s Rules: The Worldwide Spread of Extreme Sharia Law (2005), The Rise of Hindu Extremism (2003), God and the Constitution (2002), Heaven Is Not My Home (1998), and the best-selling survey of religious persecution Their Blood Cries Out (1997). Marshall has been interviewed on numerous media outlets, including ABC, CNN, PBS, Fox, Al Jazeera, and the British, Australian, Canadian, South African, and Japanese Broadcasting Corporations. His work has appeared in or been the subject of articles in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Times, National Review, First Things, New Republic, and many others. His writings have been translated into twenty-two languages.
