Walter R. Schumm is a professor of family studies at Kansas State University and a retired colonel, US Army, with over twenty-five military decorations and over 300 scholarly publications and two books, including Transition to Parenthood (Springer, 2014) with R. Nazarinia Roy and S. Britt.
