Rowan Williams was born and grew up in South Wales and worked as an academic, priest, and bishop in Wales and England. He served as Archbishop of Canterbury from 2002 to 2012 before being Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge, from 2013 to 2020. He now lives in Wales and continues to write and speak on a wide range of subjects. Among his many books is On Augustine, published in 2016.
