Ismael Hernandez is the founder and president of The Freedom & Virtue Institute. He also lectures for the Acton Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His writings have appeared in various newspapers as well as the Journal of Markets and Morality, Crisis Magazine, World Magazine, the Washington Times, The Vital Center, and the Schweizer Monat Magazine in Switzerland. He is the author of the book Not Tragically Colored, co-authored Race and Justice in America, and the newly released book Rethinking Charity: Restoring Dignity to Poverty Relief and a recent chapter in the newly released book Red, White, and Black: A Pathway to American Renewal. Ismael holds a master’s degree in political sciences and lives in North Carolina with his family.
