Christopher L. Ragusa, Jr. PhD., is an Assistant Professor of Theology and the incoming Director of Great Books at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He specializes in metaphysics, natural law, and virtue ethics along with their applications for bioethics. Dr. Ragusa is the Coordinator of FranU’s Bioethics Lecture Series as well as a consultant for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. His recent articles touch on on natural law and natural rights, freedom and sports, the life of St. Thomas Aquinas as a model for discipleship, and J.R.R. Tolkien’s understanding of art and creativity. He teaches Introduction to Theology, Introduction to Moral Theology, Christian Spirituality, Theological Bioethics, Philosophy for Theology, and the Good Community.
